The grape-growing industry is flourishing in this hilly area; the town is known for its wildly popular Naples Grape Festival, and several wineries are here. Naples also is known as an artist community, and several galleries in the area are open to the public during the Naples Open Studio Trail. This scenic region is particularly charming during the fall-foliage season; Gannett Hill Park is the highest point in Ontario County and offers spectacular views of the Bristol Hills. Grimes Glen is a long, deep gorge with two 60-foot waterfalls and is known for its variety of spring wildflowers. Cumming Nature Center, overseen by the Rochester Museum & Science Center, is a 900-acre preserve with hiking trails. Naples maintains a small, close-knit community atmosphere with a vibrant business center. Here, you’re near the southern tip of Canandaigua Lake and just minutes away from Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, which offers fall-foliage “sky rides” in the autumn and downhill skiing in winter.
